Zakatul Fitr - Fitrana

The Messenger of Allah (saw) prescribed the Zakat al-Fitr as a purification of the fasting person from empty and obscene talk and as food for the poor.

Fitrana is an obligatory donation made by every member of a household.
The head of household pays for their dependants such as children.
It can be paid anytime during Ramadan.
It must be paid before Eid Prayer.
Fitrana is £6 per person.
